[19 Jul 2007|06:25pm]

Haven't heard much from this community for awhile. Anyway, if people are still alive....

Does anyone know what the hell is going on in Eat Me, Drink Me. Fromm what I get, the whole centralized theme is a car crash, which I think, if stuff I've read was true, goes back to "Valentine's Day" (I saw that pregnant girl today/She didn't know that it was dead inside/Even though it was alive/Some of us are really born to die).

What I'm jumbledupply (it's alright, I'm a writer; I can make up words) asking is: could there have been a car cras a long time ago, back when Manson was with someone else, and she was pregnant, but she lost the baby, and then died in the hospitial after hours of fighting for life (I don't mind you keeping me on pins and needles/If I could stick to you/And you could stick me too) while he himself was getting treated (When I was gutted, she was dress in white)? And, because of it, he's either so physically or emotionally scarred (or both) that he HAS to wear that make-up?

I don't know; the only thing I read about this CD is it saved him from committing suicide, which led me to this. Because, after living with it for so long, he just wanted it to be over.

And this CD was kind of disappointing.

What does Manson meann by "Disassociative"? It seems to me it's a play on dissociative fugue, in which one or more episodes of sudden, unexpected, and purposeful travel from home occur, during which a person cannot remember some or all of his past life (which was what Adam was doing), but is it a mixing of 2 words to bring two means together, such as "maniqueen" or "phenabarbie-doll"?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it

Subliminal Symbology [02 Nov 2005|02:22pm]

[ mood | amused ]

For those who have yet to read the Heirophant's recent exclusive interview with Manson, Dramatic New Scenes for Celebritarian Needs, he pointed out something I'm sure most of us have not considered (or at least I hadn't). He was hinting at the upcoming symbol for the Celebritarian movement-- the Cross of Lorraine-- with the cover of the Holy Wood book (which is where the word "Celebritarian" was first mentioned)...

Well I'll be damned; it was right in front of us all along. Not that it has a large amount of significance (or maybe it does, it's too soon to call).

w00t! I'm a moderator now for the m_manson community! So I guess now makeyounumb and m_manson are sister communities. First item of business: I want to give the look of the community a little makeover and change the graphics and layout and whatnot (but I'll have to discuss that with my co-moderator first before we decide what to change it to... or if we should change it at all).

heh, how do you like that, i keep finding Manson songs that i can relate to that i nnever got before. this time, it's "Fundamentaly Loathesome"

on another topic, in "Coma Back" is it supposed to be Coma singing the chourus like I found out it was in "Coma White" (i don't have the actual MA CD, so i periodically look up lyrics to songs, even though i know them by heart, and found the chorus was in quotation, and it said [Coma]: "You were.... ...to run away)?

i know according to samuraikoala32s essay (which makes ALOT of sense to me), i guess it's supposed be Adam ("This was never my world [outcasted for his beliefs], you took the angel away [Valentine killed Coma]"), but i dont get how "i'd kill myself to make everybody pay" really fits in, since he doesn't kill himself til "Count To 6 And Die". meh, i guess i shouldnt think about it, as my brain still no work good, and just patiently wait for the whole essay.

This isn't interpretation, but I'm looking on CD Universe, and it seems like there's a Manson CD due out in mid-May. It's called "From the Vaults", so I'm thinking it's maybe rarities and B-sides Anyone else have any info?

Goddamn essays EVERYWHERE! [27 Apr 2005|10:51pm]

[ mood | busy ]

Okay. Well, it seems I'm going to be having less free time than I would like for at least the next 2 weeks. I gotta do an essay about the legal cases and shit behind legalizing medicinal marijuana, in addition to a fat research paper about like Oedipus and Hamlet or some shit like that... so I won't have too much time to work on my triptych essay.

Seeing as I won't have much free time soon, and that I've already held out on you guys for a few months now, I've decided to share my updated essay. I hope you enjoy it or at least find it thought provoking...

Click to read my UPDATED triptych essay!

What's New:
  • It's over 3 pages longer (so about 9.1 pages total)
  • The analysis of Holy Wood has been changed around dramatically
  • Analysis of about half of Mechanical Animals

For those who haven't already read about TRNQT and Profane's analysis of how Fibonacci fits with Holy Wood, Antichrist Superstar, and the painting... go read this shit. It's incredible.

The Black Collar Song [22 Apr 2005|12:49pm]

    [ mood | thoughtful ]

I was listening to "Use You Fist And Not Your Mouth" and I had a strange thought. The song-- arguably-- is an obvious reference to facism. However, he says more than once in the song "I'm on a hate American style kick" (by the way, "Love American Style" was a sitcom in the 70s for those who didn't know). So is the song really about facism in Germany, or rather the facism in America?

EDIT: By the way, I was working on my triptych essay today. I completley rearranged what I said for Holy Wood to include the concept of the Valley of Death and started getting into Mechanical Animals.

    [21 Apr 2005|04:01am]

    [ mood | stupid ]

Was Manson trying to say Kennedy was the Antichrist? I'm listing to Holy Wood on headphones (a total experience in itself) while looking at the lyrics on websites (I can't see the tiny booklet print :( ), and that's what my mind is coming up with. But then "Born Again" is making me think differently

EDIT: Anyone know what he's saying at the very end of "A Place In The Dirt"? It's prolly like that whole "Track 99" business where you have to speed it up

Also, is it decided in this community "Coma Black" is about Rose McGowan (sp)?

    Here we go

    Sweet PeasCollapse )

    Coma GrayCollapse )

    The HomebodiesCollapse )

They aren't that good, cause let's face it, "Sweet Dreams" and "The Nobodies" dont offer too much to be changed around... and I suck. As soon as I get done with "Cock Is Deade" and the yet-to-be-titled "I Dont Like The Drugs" parodies, I'll post again.

    A question

Since the next cd is suposedly about the black death, even though it happened 6 centuries BEFORE the golden age, do you guys think the last song on GAoG (Obsequey [The Death Of Art]) could lead into the black plague (i mean, art DID take on darker tones afterwards, being the death of art as they all knew it before the plague)?

..... see this is what i think about when im single

Heh, it still makes me wonder why Manson has such a creative mind to bring out a three cd story like the AS triptych, yet he wears all kinds of make-up to put people off from listening to said music. Maybe it has to do with the idea of racism/stereotyping; no matter what color you are, or how much of a freak you look like, you could have some of the best ideas in the world, and only the ones that accept it can understand.

    Or something.

    [05 Apr 2005|04:18pm]

Hi, although this community gives me a headache from thinking about the intricacies of Manson's music (my brain no work good), it did interest me.

Today, I was looking in a cd review community I moderate, where I reviewed GAoG (that has nothing to do with what I'm saying, just filler), and another member and I got to talking about all his other music. Well, I always wondered, since I heard it, if "New Model #15" was a cover, because I thought I heard it from either David Bowie or Billy Idol. She told me...

Yeah... I've talked lightly on that subject... I remember hearing from my friend that Manson wanted to release an album that was finished and the label said no because one of his songs was almost a direct copy of someone else's (or something of the like), so it sat on the shelves for years until the label finally gave in and released it.

And I took this info to another Manson community, and they said it was wrong, so I let it go. Well, when I read that today, I remembered reading something in here about MA being AFTER HW in the triptych (and i remember reading ".. that is the album that leads up to the rise of the antichrist", so was AS the last in the triptych [btw, that's not my question either, but my mind raises too many questions]), so anyone know if its true that MA sat on the self for years?

... yea, anything to do with analysis? not so much

Things of shapes to come [07 Mar 2005|01:58am]

    [ mood | tired ]

    I posted this on myspace:

This photo is found in Lest We Forget. The booklet is divided into several panels that reflect a different part of Manson's career/ albums. The first is Portrait of an American Family and Smells Like Children, then Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals, Holy Wood, Golden Age of Grotesque, and Lest We Forget. This photo is on the last panel, AFTER Lest We Forget. Is it possible that this image reflects the era to come? What are your thoughts?

By the way, I plan on continuing my essay soon to extend a bit more on Holy Wood and add an interpretation of Mechanical Animals (and maybe Antichrist Superstar... I think I should spend a bit more time brainstorming before I write about that). I got an essay due for class on the 15th, so I'll probably pick up again after that date. Just in case anyone's interested.
